Il Palmerino Artists Residency, Florence, Italy, November 2022.

In November, I was artist in residence at Il Palmerino, Italy in collaboration with Hamburg based artist Patrick Gabler.

We spent our residency in the beautiful rural studio at Il Palmerino, located close to the breathtaking city of Florence, allowing a full immersion in Tuscan life. I used this time to develop my understanding of natural pigments in relation to water-based printmaking, alongside investigating the relationship between the autumn colours of Florence and the Villa in relation to Japanese colour theory.
