MI-LAB, Fujikawaguchiko, Japon, QEST funded training, July 2023
In early July I spent an incredible week back in Japan at the Mokuhanga Innovation Laboratory at the foot of Mount Fuji. Funded by the Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust Award, I was able to study how to make kakejiku (hanging scrolls) under the tutelage of Toshio Soyama.
This was my fourth and final residency at MI-LAB in Kawaguchiko and I felt so grateful to be able to return once again for this unique workshop.
