Moon Pool

After spending long warm evenings in the Dolomite mountains in the summer of 2022, I created this print in memory of a midnight swim under the illumination of the full moon.

A mokuhanga print carved on shina plywood, printed on a half sheet of kozo washi with watercolour, sumi ink with a printed gampi chine colle addition, 9 passes of colour, 1 block, 63 cm x 48cm, edition of 6 with 3 x AP’s.

Moon Pool was presented by the Royal Society of Painter Printmakers at The London Original Print Fair, Somerset House, London and at RE Original Print show at Bankside Gallery, London in 2023. Moon Pool was acquired by the University of Alabama in 2023.
