An Ode to Great Uncle Ernest
Fascinated with the fabricated reality found in dolls houses, I built these individual 'rooms' as portals into my own childhood domestic reality. Together the constructions create a 14 room dolls house representative of each significant home from my childhood. A world where a dog enjoys trifle on a crocheted lawn, and sleeping sheep lay strewn in the attic. Thepiece was installed in the window of'Couverture & The Garb Store' in Notting Hill, London.
