Prelude to desire is a suite of water-based woodblock prints, inspired by Kitagawa Utamaro’s Prelude to Desire shunga series in 1799. Various cherry wood carved blocks, printed with silver ink entwine with one another under a bokashi indigo sky. Each print is unique.
