Weak from Dreaming
Weak from Dreaming is a site responsive installation in a derelict shooting hut on the Northumberland moors, created in the Autumn of 2017. A 4 meter high wooden structure, this one-person observatory was made in response to the location being one of the darkest skies in Europe, with very minimal light pollution it’s perfect for viewing the milky way. The original hut was not altered to accommodate the structure, instead the structure was created to a shelter a third of the roof having fallen in, exposing the hut to the elements of nature. The installation is close to the 'Pennine way' and walkers are invited to take shelter and a moment to view the vast changing skies of Northumberland. The hut has most recently acted as refuge to weather worn cattle.
